case studies The Abbey,Woodbridge School

St Giles Park, Cringleford The Planning Team are engaged by Big Sky

The Planning Team submitted an application for a number of projects at Woodbridge School, one of which was the proposed demolition of existing c.1970’s block to The Abbey, and replacement with a contemporary extension accommodating four additional classrooms. The site is located within the Woodbridge Conservation Area, and The Abbey is a Listed Building (Grade II*). The entrance wall, piers and gates to The Abbey were also listed (Grade II).The Church of St Mary to the north of the site is Grade I Listed. Working closely with Historic England and the conservation team at Suffolk Coastal District Council planning permission and Listed Building Consent were granted for a range of works to the Listed Building.

Developments, the private residential development vehicle for South Norfolk Council, in the delivery of 350 new homes, extensive highways works and signifcant recreational open space at St Giles Park in Cringleford. We are responsible for co-ordinating the submission of nine reserved matters applications for the site, as well as discharge of planning conditions and Section 106 obligations to deliver the strategy of a phased development. To fulfill these responsibilities, the Team have been involved in continuous engagement with the Local Planning Authority, key statutory consultees, the Parish Council and the local community.
