MEES

case study East of England Co-op

Working with the East of England Co-op we surveyed the full portfolio of 600 properties to ascertain the EPC ratings and the implications for MEES compliance. The surveys covered the full variety of the Co-op’s buildings, from commercial, residential and retail units through to funeral premises and tanning salons. Offering a full and varied service the MEES team were able to provide cost effective upgrade advice and MEES exemptions where feasible, saving the client money, time and enabling them to gain a thorough understanding of the EPC ratings on all their buildings. “Whether a job is straightforward or more complex, Ingleton Wood’s team have the tools, knowledge and expertise to proactively manage a wide-range of tasks in a timely, professional and refreshingly easy-going manner. We are extremely pleased with their delivery of such a high quality service and look forward to our continued collaboration.” Regina Peachey, Project Manager, East of England Co-op Ipswich Borough Council Ipswich Borough Council’s portfolio of over 1000 buildings required the Teams full attention. We focussed on the provision of a thorough investigation of their portfolio. The MEES team were able to look at the many types of buildings in the ownership of the Council. This included a detailed survey and provision of a new EPC for the Ipswich Bus Depot. We reviewed alternative heating systems which their Chartered Building Service Engineers were able to provide. This has enabled the Council to undertake an exemption as the payback would exceed the 7-year rule; saving time and money for the client.
